China’s lottery market saw total sales increase by 7 per cent to RMB394.64bn (€53.6bn) in 2016 after recording its 10th consecutive month of year-on-year growth during December.

Sales in the final month of the year were up by 7 per cent to RMB36.59bn, according to results published by China’s Ministry of Finance, following a strong performance from the Sports Lottery where sales increase 11 per cent to RMB16.61bn.
