Novomatic Lottery Solutions (NLS) has secured a multi-year contract to provide interactive instant win games to Norsk Tipping, as well as a digital version of the lottery’s popular Flax game.

The three-year deal, including an optional one-year extension, will see NLS also provide business development expertise for the Norwegian state monopoly operator, which has been busy expanding its iGaming offering in recent months with deals with the likes of Scientific Games, IGT, and EveryMatrix.

NLS will design and manage instant games and digital versions of the lottery’s Flax game following its recent partnership with game developer Gamevy.

“Norsk Tipping is a lottery that prides itself on being innovative and bold in the sophistication of our technology and products,” said Åsne Havnelid, CEO of Norsk Tipping. “As such, we look forward to working with NLS in the years to come.”

NLS managing director and CEO Frank Cecchini said that the operator will be able to continually select games from the company’s extensive portfolio, as well receive customized games developed exclusively by the supplier.

“The content NLS will deliver will ignite and renew player excitement in the lottery’s eInstant portfolio and interactive games because NLS is truly committed to delivering new solutions and new standards to the lottery customers we serve,” said Cecchini.

Hans Erland Ringsvold, Norsk Tipping’s head of VLTs and iGaming, said that the deal would grow and diversify the lottery’s eInstant portfolio, with a focus on mobile game development a key success factor for the operator.

“Together with Gamevy, NLS has a wide-ranging game library, exciting roadmaps, and the capacity to develop customized games,” he continued. “NLS, with Gamevy, will be important partners for Norsk Tipping.”
