International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a three-year contract extension to provide the New York Lottery with technology and terminals.

The new contract with IGT Global Solutions comes into effect on August 6th, extending a partnership that dates back to 1986.

"As the leading provider of cutting-edge lottery solutions, IGT is committed to supporting the growth and innovation of its customers," senior vice president of IGT's WLA North America lottery business Jay Gendron said.

"With this contract extension, we will work closely with the lottery to apply industry-wide best practices to increase lottery sales, and provide additional convenience for retailers and players through the addition of new lottery terminals and self-service products."

The contract extension will see the lottery roll out IGT's Enterprise Series Anywhere solution, allowing it to add new features and games to its existing offering, as well as new terminals and self-service vending machines.

Among the new services to be launched will be IGT's Retailer Wizard, which provides a secure website for lottery retailers to manage their businesses and interact with the lottery, and OnePlace, which provides field sales personnel with sales and inventory management tools.

Shares in International Game Technology plc (Co.Data) (NYQ:IGT) closed in New York Monday down 2.31 per cent at USD$18.22 per share.
