Athens-listed lottery supplier Intralot has been awarded a new seven-year contract to provide technology and services to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Intralot has been providing lottery services in the state for eight years, having helped launch the Arkansas Lottery in September 2009.

The new contract begins in August 2019 and runs until August 2026, and includes a central gaming system for all current in-state and multi-state draw games, as well as retail terminals and network equipment.

Intralot will also continue to provide inventory control and logistics for the lottery’s full array of instant ticket games and Fast Play instant play games, in addition to other operational services.

The contract is worth an estimated $70m to Intralot.

“Intralot has served as a valuable partner to our agency over the past eight years,” said Arkansas Lottery director Bishop Woosley. “They have provided excellent service and support, which has helped the Arkansas Lottery raise over $700m for scholarships for Arkansas college-bound students. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership for many years to come.”

John Donahue, CEO of Intralot’s US business, commented: “We are thrilled over this new engagement with the Arkansas Lottery and their experienced staff.

“They will continue to be a front-runner in technology and innovation as we empower their business through Intralot’s proven solutions. We look forward to the next seven years and the positive impact it will have on the state of Arkansas.”

Shares in Intralot SA (Co. Data) (ASE:INLOT) closed in Athens Wednesday unchanged at €1.20 per share.
