The Argentinean government has passed a decree dissolving the country's National Lottery after deciding that it is no longer viable for the state to operate the business.

Decree 95/2018 has been published in the country's Official Bulletin and confirms that the Ministry of Social Development, headed by Carolina Stanley, will appoint a liquidator to oversee the "dissolution and liquidation" of Lotería Nacional S.E.
