Pennsylvania has become the seventh US state to offer lottery games online, rolling out a range of new content from long-term partner Scientific Games.

The PA iLottery-branded offering allows players to access lottery games via computer, tablet and mobile devices for the first time.

Players must register for an online account linked to a payment method, allowing them to purchase a range of games with prizes of up to $250,000.

Among the titles being rolled out by Scientific Games are Big Money Slingo, Bigfoot, Cash Buster Towers, Foxin' Wins, Robin Hood and Super Cash Buster.

Scientific Games has also integrated its responsible gambling controls in the iLottery site, such as time, deposit and spending limits.

"PA iLottery games are a fun, new way to play and win from home or while on the go," said the lottery's executive director Drew Svitko. "iLottery is a big part of our effort to meet our players where they already are while generating new funds to benefit older Pennsylvanians."

"By law, PA iLottery players must be physically located in the state of Pennsylvania to play for money and win prizes," Svitko added. "As with all lottery games, we urge players to play responsibly and always within their means."

The launch was faciliated by the gaming expansion bill signed into law by Governor Tom Wolf in October 2017, and the passage of temporary iLottery regulations in April this year. These controls may remain in place for up to two years as permanent regulations are developed.

For Scientific Games, the Pennsylvania iLottery launch marks the first time it has combined its digital lottery products with those gained through the acquisition of NYX Gaming Group.

"The combination of Scientific Games and NYX earlier this year created a global digital leader across iLottery, iGaming and sports betting that offers a breadth of technology, content and managed services to the Pennsylvania Lottery and lotteries worldwide," SG Digital chief executive Matt Davey said.

"As an integrated company, together we are very excited to support the Pennsylvania Lottery in its launch of new, expanded gaming entertainment in digital channels."

Scientific Games senior vice president of global lottery systems, Pat McHugh, added: "Scientific Games has a long history of investing in innovative games, technology and services that maximize Lottery funds to benefit older Pennsylvanians. Our partnership with the Pennsylvania Lottery has resulted in one of the highest performing lotteries in the world.

"Now we are thrilled to combine Scientific Games and NYX's market-leading capabilities to offer entertaining digital games to Pennsylvania Lottery players, and to continue our support of Pennsylvania Lottery retailers with the iLottery affiliate program."
