New York-listed supplier Scientific Games has signed a three-year deal to develop new instant lottery games based on the legendary Hard Rock brand.

Expanding its licensed brand portfolio, the supplier has secured an agreement with Hard Rock International, which owns trademarks for the Hard Rock brand and operates cafés, casinos and hotels in over 74 countries.

"Scientific Games is known for our game innovation, and our game design studios cannot wait to begin creating products featuring the Hard Rock brand to add a cool edge to our customers' instant games," said Kyle Rogers, Scientific Games executive vice president of lottery licensed brands.

"The Hard Rock brand is ubiquitous with music, fun and good times. We welcome this legendary brand into the Scientific Games' licensed properties portfolio and believe lottery players will share our enthusiasm."

Hard Rock International senior vice president of online gaming Kresimir Spajic added: “We're excited to extend our collaboration with Scientific Games' Gaming and Interactive groups to another vertical, and look forward to seeing the Hard Rock brand reach new audiences globally.”

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ:SGMS) closed up 0.57 per cent at $26.40 per share in New York Tuesday.
