Toronto-listed lottery supplier Pollard Banknote has secured a deal to provide the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) with a new player loyalty program.
Pollard Banknote won the initial three-year contract following a competitive procurement process, and will deploy its PlayOn player engagement solution for the lottery.
This includes a fully integrated mobile application that allows players to scan their lottery tickets for easy points accumulation, which can then be redeemed for a variety of rewards and entries into second-chance contests.
The mobile app also provides players with ticket checking capabilities, information about current lottery games in the market, a GPS store locator, push notifications for jackpot alerts and promotional information.
"Pollard Banknote is an industry leader with a demonstrated track record of helping lotteries create quality and innovative on-line products and experiences," said Connecticut Lottery president and CEO Gregory Smith. "Together, we will create a robust program tailored to Connecticut that will both attract new players and to create value for those who play our games."
The new contract builds on Pollard Banknote's existing partnership as the primary instant ticket supplier for the Connecticut Lottery since 2012.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Connecticut Lottery to deliver an exciting new player loyalty program to their player base," said Doug Pollard, co-CEO of Pollard Banknote. "With PlayOn, the CLC will gain unprecedented access to omnichannel player data to implement new tactics and strategies that will ultimately support sales growth and proceeds to good causes in the state.
“It's our pleasure to be working with the CLC as they execute their vision to deliver player-centric lottery experiences that connect retail and digital channels.”
Shares in Pollard Banknote Ltd (TSX:PBL) closed down 1.67 per cent at CAD$23.60 per share in Toronto Monday.
