Hong Kong-listed lottery provider AGTech Holdings has secured a deal with the China Sports Lottery to investigate the implementation of augmented reality (AR) technology.

The government contract will see one of AGTech’s wholly-owned subsidiaries research and develop the use of AR technology as an online promotional tool for the Sports Lottery, in a bid to expand the Sports Lottery Administration Center's reach among younger customers.

“The group’s involvement in this project demonstrates its continued commitment in China’s lottery technical service and technical development market,” AGTech said in a statement.

Shares in AGTech Holdings Ltd (HKG:8279) closed at HK$0.44 per share in Hong Kong earlier Wednesday.
