New York-listed gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games has renewed its contract with TV production company Fremantle for the exclusive rights to use three TV game show brands in lottery games.

Scientific Games will continue to create branded games based on Fremantle shows The Price is Right, Family Feud and Press Your Luck for lotteries in the United States and Canada through to 2022.

“Fremantle's game shows and the lottery are the perfect match with Scientific Games,” said Fremantle president of commercial operations Rick Glankler. “We cannot wait to see more exciting lottery games created around these three iconic game shows.”

Scientific Games has already created and launched more than 100 different lottery games featuring the three TV game show brands over the years.

“Our innovation teams are already at work creating new lottery games themed to these three Fremantle hit TV game shows,” said Scientific Games executive vice president of lottery licensing Kyle Rogers. “Our goal is to offer the best portfolio of entertaining licensed properties to lotteries around the world and their players.”

Originally making its TV debut in 1983 and returning to TV this summer, Press Your Luck is a game of wits, strategy and high stakes as contestants try to avoid the iconic and devilish WHAMMY for a chance at life-changing cash and prizes.

The Price is Right is network television's top rated daytime series and the longest-running game show in television history. It features a variety of games and contests all with the same basic challenge to guess the prices of everyday and not-quite-everyday retail merchandise.

Family Feud first premiered in 1976 and features two families who compete for cash and cars, with contestants trying to guess the most popular answers to questions posed to 100 people surveyed.

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ:SGMS) closed up 7.12 per cent at $20.46 per share in New York Monday.
