Athens-listed supplier Intralot has been awarded an eight-year contract to provide lottery, sports betting and instant games across retail, internet, and mobile channels in Morocco.
The new contract with the national sports lottery organisation La Marocaine Des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS) begins on January 1st and continues a relationship first established in 2010.
It was awarded following a competitive procurement process and sees Intralot Maroc provide overall management and operation of MDJS’s omni-channel lottery, sports betting and instant games offerings.
This includes the continuing provision of lottery terminals and software solutions alongside technical support and services, and the design and implementation of marketing campaigns to contribute to the development and growth of the market.
Intralot also aims to expand MDJS’s retail network to 1,600 points of sale and enhance its omni-channel capabilities.
“MDJS has been a valued Intralot customer for the last decade and we are pleased to have been awarded with a new contract to continue our successful operation in Morocco,” said Intralot group deputy chief executive Nikos Nikolakopoulos.
“This agreement represents an exciting new chapter in our long-term relationship as well as the trust of the state sports lottery Organization in Intralot’s next generation solutions that will enable long-term innovation and growth for MDJS, ultimately increasing revenue to good causes for the benefit of the Moroccan community.”
Shares in Intralot SA (ATH:INLOT) were trading up 0.52 per cent at €0.39 per share in Athens Friday morning.
