China’s lottery market continued to decline as total sales fell by 18.5 per cent to RMB34.1bn in August, with only one province recording growth compared to a year ago.

August marked the seventh consecutive month of falling lottery sales, with the biggest decline coming from China’s Sports Lottery, as sales fell by 19 per cent to RMB19.5bn, while Welfare Lottery sales fell by 18 per cent to RMB14.6bn.
