The government of Brazil has approved plans to raise the price of lottery tickets for the first time since May 2015.

Following publication in Brazil’s Official Gazette last week, the Secretariat of Evaluation, Planning, Energy and Lottery (SECAP) has authorized Caixa Econômica Federal to raise the price of lottery tickets by an average of approximately 28 per cent across eight games.
