Worldwide lottery sales rose by 10 per cent during the nine month period ended September 30th, according to the latest figures released by the World Lottery Association (WLA), with continued strong growth from the Latin America and Asia Pacific regions.

Britain’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has launched a consultation into the lottery market and the impact of competing gambling products on funding for good causes, in order to define any need for future reform.
