Toronto-listed lottery supplier Pollard Banknote has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire UK-based mobile app developer mkodo for £7.8m.

Pollard Banknote said that mkodo's mobile expertise would allow the company to enhance its customers' digital connection with their end users and expand the supplier’s own digital solutions, which currently comprises iLottery, second chance platforms and loyalty programs.

“We are very excited to have the talented mkodo team join Pollard and we look forward to their proven gaming focused technology and vast experience helping us broaden our portfolio of lottery and gaming solutions,” said Pollard Banknote co-CEO Doug Pollard. “Working alongside our existing lottery resources within Pollard, we will be able to expand mkodo's reach into some of the leading lotteries worldwide."
