With plans to go live with a new mobile platform next year, UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has launched live streaming of AtTheRaces' live coverage of British and Irish horse races, initially for iPhone users.

Ladbrokes’ mobile customers can now access all live British and Irish horse races following the launch of its Racing UK service earlier this year.

At the Races is majority owned by thirty UK racecourses including the likes of Ascot, Doncaster, Leicester, and operates under a joint venture between UK satellite broadcaster BskyB and Arena Leisure plc.

The live streaming of AtTheRaces on Ladbrokes mobile is initially available to iPhone users, and will be extended to a variety of Android and other mobile platforms in the coming months.

Customers must bet £1 to be able to stream the races from their mobile.

“Mobile betting is growing rapidly and Ladbrokes customers have a leading range of services,” said Richard Ames, Ladbrokes’ managing director of products. “We continue to develop it and aim to make it the first choice for mobile betting and gaming customers.”

Ladbrokes added that it plans to go live with a new mobile platform next year which will enable the service to develop further.
