Arizona Governor Janice Brewer has signed legislation to allow advance deposit wagering (ADW) on horses and greyhound races across the state via phone, but stressed that that the bill “does not authorize” and “cannot be construed” as authorizing internet gaming.
The bill (SB1282) makes various changes to the state’s racing laws and creates an alternative form or pari-mutuel betting (ADW or account wagering) on live and simulcast horse and dog racing via telephonic means.
