Canada’s Amaya Gaming has released a selection of its online slots into the regulated Italian online gaming market through a partnership with leading operator Microgame.

Microgame, which operates some 160 online brands under its People’s Network, has launched a range of Amaya’s most popular games including Serengeti Diamonds, Samurai Princess, Lost Temple, Thundering Zeus, Chilli Gold, Frogs 'n Flies and Aladdin's Legacy.

“The Amaya suite of casino games are well known in the industry for their player popularity and operator profitability,” said Microgame’s recently appointed CEO Massimiliano Casella. “They will help us to maximize value for our partners. We look forward to a close relationship going forward.”

Amaya CEO David Baazov added: “Microgame is one of the most innovative Italian technology companies in the market. Italy is an important regulated market for us, and we will be looking to increase our market share in that country as it opens up for more business.”

Meanwhile, Amaya subsidiary Ongame has announced the launch of its fast poker offering, Strobe, following in the footsteps of PokerStars (Zoom), Relax Gaming (Fast Poker), Microgaming (Blaze), Playtech (Sprint), and bwin.party (Fast Forward Poker).

Ongame said that Strobe includes full mobile support, lower rake and fast 5-handed games. The product is currently available for web, as well as Android and iOS devices.

“Strobe is an important addition to our offering and we are proud to roll it out to all of our customers and for all platforms,” said Fredrik Kjell, head of poker at Ongame. “We strive to protect the poker ecology and have chosen to decrease rake by 20 per cent on Strobe games.

“By combining fast 5-handed games, lower rake and mobile support, we are confident that players will embrace this great addition to the poker industry.”

Shares in Amaya Gaming Group Inc (Co. Data) (TSX:AYA) will commence trading at $5.39 per share in Toronto later today.
