Online gaming operator 888 Holdings plc has signed up as primary sponsor of the upcoming 2013 WSOP Asia Pacific and WSOP Europe TV shows.


The sponsorship agreement will see 888poker serve as the live streaming coverage provider for every key event in both World Series of Poker tournament series, as well receiving branding around the globally distributed TV shows.

888poker will also be hosting online promotions and tournaments for players to win seats to the WSOP events and represent Team 888poker alongside its ambassadors, Shane Warne , Jesse Sylvia , Jake Balsiger , Russell Thomas and Sam Holden .

WSOP senior VP and executive director Ty Stewart added: “Broadcasting is the not-so secret sauce of the World Series of Poker. We're thrilled to expand the relationship with 888 to help showcase our new Triple Crown to viewers around the world.”

Shares in 888 Holdings plc (Co. Data) (LSE:888) were trading up 2.14 per cent in London Tuesday morning at 171.60 pence per share.
