UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has agreed a deal to sponsor English League One football team Notts County FC for the club’s Capital One Cup tie against Premier League side Liverpool.

The operator will become shirt sponsor of the club for the match, which will be held next week on Tuesday August 27th at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Notts County chairman Ray Trew said the club had “enjoyed some fantastic relationships with high-profile national brands” during his tenure, adding he was “delighted” to extend such partnerships with the Ladbrokes deal.

“The level of commercial interest that we have had in this fixture shows how big a game it is for the club and I am sure that everyone involved with Notts County is looking forward to our trip up to Anfield, whilst hoping it will be the first of many high-profile fixtures this season and in the years ahead,” he added.

Trew also thanked the club’s current home shirt sponsors food delivery company 3663, and away shirt sponsors, insurance firm Pinnacle for their support of the club.

“The support of our commercial partners at all levels is invaluable to a club like Notts County and we simply wouldn’t be able to achieve our goals without their continued backing,” he said.

Known as The Magpies, Notts County is one of the oldest football clubs in England to play at a professional level, having been founded in 1862.

The club currently plays in League One, the third tier of the English football league system, and play their home games at the 20,000 capacity Meadow Lane stadium.
