Swedish casino games developer Play’n GO is to roll out its portfolio of mobile-optimised products for the Italian market following receipt of software approval from the country’s online gaming regulator Amministrazione autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS).

Play’n GO plans to release its range of games for iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, Blackberry and Flash in what the company’s chief executive Johan Törnqvist describes as “yet another important strategic milestone” for the business, giving it a foothold in Italy and prompting further growth.

“With close to 40 high class games in our mobile games portfolio the Italian players will be able to enjoy the freedom to play wherever and whenever they want using their mobile devices,” he added.

The supplier is now approved in seven European gaming jurisdictions, including Alderney, Malta, Gibraltar and Belgium. It has also launched in the Danish market with Unibet and Betsson, and increased its UK presence by partnering with Metro Play, the online gaming subsidiary of the free UK newspaper Metro.

Play’n GO is also active in the Canadian market, having partnered with Betfair to launch a suite of free-play titles on BetfairCasino.net in September last year.
