Online gaming operator bet365 has signed up as the new headline sponsor for the Hennessy Heritage Festival, where the company will sponsor 13 of the 21 races across the three-day meeting.

bet365 joins Hennessy, the world's largest cognac producer, as headline sponsors for the three-day event following a long-term deal with Racecourse Newbury.

The operator will sponsor 13 of the 21 races across the three-day meeting including the Grade Two bet365 Long Distance Hurdle.

Hennessy will continue its support of the famous Gold Cup steeplechase, British racing’s longest commercial sponsorship, which will run for the 57th year.

Denise Coates, joint chief executive of bet365, said: “The Hennessy Gold Cup is one of the most prestigious races run in the National Hunt calendar and is always a favourite with racing fans. We’re delighted to be supporting the Heritage Festival and we look forward to working with The Racecourse Newbury and Hennessy.”

The Racecourse Newbury’s joint managing director Stephen Higgins, added: “We are thrilled to welcome on board bet365 for one of Britain’s biggest racing events and equally delighted that Hennessy have extended their sponsorship.

The Hennessy Heritage Festival takes place between Thursday 28th and Saturday 30th November.
