MGM Resorts-backed social casino developer PlayStudios has launched iOS and Android versions of its flagship myVEGAS Slots game, which it describes as the only product of its kind to give players the chance to win real-world prizes.

With more than 100,000 players having redeemed over $10m-worth of prizes through PlayStudios’ Facebook offering, the company expects to see its market reach grow by 200 per cent following the mobile launch.

This expansion will be aided by four new partners joining the myVEGAS Rewards Programme, with Cirque du Soleil, House of Blues, Sugar Factory and the Las Vegas Monorail Company now able to offer winning players tickets, meals and other prizes through the app. They join the company’s existing partners which include the Bellagio, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay casinos.

PlayStudios founder, president and chief executive Andrew Pascal said he was excited to bring his company’s “unique blend of compelling games and real-world rewards” to mobile devices.

“Nothing in the Apple or Android marketplaces captures the fun and value of Las Vegas as faithfully as myVEGAS,” said Pascal. “Launching our new app is a huge step forward for us as we connect with a rapidly expanding, increasingly global, mobile audience.”

MGM Resorts International senior vice president of business development Tom Mikulich added that the launch would allow the operator to provide a “unique and accessible way for customers to engage with brands they already love.”
