Sports broadcaster and data supplier Satellite Information Services (SIS) is to offer coverage of Dubai horse racing for its online and retail customers, with the likes of Bet365, BetVictor, Paddy Power, Boylesports and Betfair to offer live streaming of race meets from the city.

The coverage, which follows a pilot scheme last year, will see SIS provide a regular stream of thoroughbred racing with 31 fixtures to be broadcast from the Jebel Ali and Meydan racecourses from November to March.

This will include the Dubai World Cup Carnival programme, which begins on January 9th and ends on March 29th with World Cup day, offering £17m in prize money.

SIS has been covering Dubai racing since 2004, with the company also involved in promotion of events, producing half-hour previous and full broadcasts of races on Sky Sports.

The company’s managing director for betting and international George Irvine said Dubai racing “goes down well with [SIS’] customers whether they’re retail or online.”

“It has everything in its favour,” Irvine continued. “The quality of racing is of the highest order, much of the action takes place in winter when there isn’t as much Flat racing around and the timings of the races fit in nicely.”

Pre-race and raceday data is available through the SISdata365 feed, with online operators able to purchase packaged streaming services for web and mobile sites.
