Yggdrasil Gaming, the online gaming provider majority owned by Sweden’s Cherry, has released its first customized online slot for Cherry’s newly launched Norwegian-facing online casino SpilleAutomater.com.
SpilleAutomater.com becomes the first operator to launch Yggdrasil’s new slot, Jokerizer, which is the first in a series of online slots to be released by the company.
Yggdrasil said that the release marks the start for the company as a “full service innovative and qualitative games provider.”
“We have extensive experience from developing online slots, and we have invested significant resources in finalizing Jokerizer,” said Yggdrasil Gaming CEO Fredrik Elmqvist. “With this release, we have confirmed Yggdrasil’s ability to provide world class quality slots. We can now provide a very competitive portfolio of games for both mobiles and computers.”
Integrating traditional slots symbols within a modern 5 reel game, Jokerizer is a high roller game with a mystery win element and is the result of a collaborative project with SpilleAutomater.com.
Cherry launched SpilleAutomater.com earlier this year in June as part of the company’s new strategy to create future growth from its own platform.
“I believe that Jokerizer will make a significant contribution to SpilleAutomater’s revenue,” said Cherry CEO Emil Sunvisson.
Yggdrasil said that it will expand its gaming portfolio with further slots releases early next year.
“Yggdrasil showed us a refreshingly different attitude from other developers when it came to making customized slots projects,” said SpilleAutomater.com’s Bjørn Honerud Grene. “With Jokerizer, they have brought the right balance between recognition using iconic slots symbols and innovation with the playing style, in order to take our slots market to the next level.”
