New Jersey-based slots developer High 5 Games (H5G) has finalised a brand licensing agreement with Chicago Limited Partnership, the rights holder for the successful Broadway musical Chicago.
The long-term exclusive partnership will see H5G develop social, mobile, online and land-based slot games based on the hit show.
The developer will start work on the game early this year, looking to release the titles later in 2014. It will feature footage and excerpts of songs from the show.
H5G’s vice president of integrated marketing Patrick Benson said he was thrilled to work on a “world-renowned” brand such as Chicago.
“Our math and game design paired with the music and aesthetics of a Broadway hit like Chicago is a can't-lose proposition for our players,” Benson added.
The deal marks H5G’s second high-profile branded partnership after the company agreed a similar agreement with the Miss Universe beauty contest. The deal saw the slot Miss Universe Crowning Moment added to H5G’s Facebook app High 5 Casino in November last year.
Since the launch of its first branded slot, H5G has extended its partnership with Bally Technologies to develop land-based games, while retaining exclusive rights for online, mobile and social variants of the titles. The company has also moved to expand into Asia with the launch of a localised social casino offering, Shake the Sky.
