Premier League football club Chelsea FC has agreed a multi-year deal with Coral that will see the UK bookmaker become the club’s new European online betting partner.

The pair have signed a two-and-a-half year partnership, which began before Chelsea’s match against Manchester United last weekend.

Under the terms of the partnership Coral will offer Chelsea fans a range of exclusive betting offers through its desktop or mobile offerings.

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said he was pleased that the club had aligned itself with a leading betting company like Coral.

He explained that the club had spent “considerable time” planning and selecting the right betting partner, describing the operator as “an established name that continues to grow both domestically and internationally.”

“I hope Chelsea fans can benefit from the relationship over the next two-and-a-half years,” Gorlay added.

Coral Interactive managing director John O’Reilly said he was “delighted” to have finalised the partnership.

“They are one of the leading football clubs in the world and a very successful business too, and we are looking forward to providing an exciting and professional betting service to all their fans and customers through our new and improved website and mobile betting platforms,” O’Reilly explained.

Chelsea previously had a betting partnership with Isle of Man-licensed Asian-facing bookmaker 188Bet after agreeing a long-term deal in 2009.
