Online and mobile casino games developer iSoftBet has signed a licensing agreement to launch a new online slot game based on popular real-time American TV series 24.

iSoftBet has signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, the licensing arm of the film and TV production studio, to launch an online slot game based on the TV series which will be released ahead of the series’ return in May this year after a four-year absence.

The game will incorporate a number of the series’ distinctive audio effects and visual elements, including the show’s main character Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) agent Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland.

Michael Doyle, vice president of interactive games at Fox Consumer Products, said the partnership with iSoftBet had resulted in “an action-packed game recognizable to fans around the world featuring the twists and turns that kept viewers on the edge of their seats from week to week while watching 24.”

“People will now have the opportunity to engage with the show in a new way as they await the show’s highly anticipated return this May with 24: Live Another Day.”

The deal is the latest in a series of IP licensing deals signed by iSoftBet in the past few months. The company has also partnered with US broadcaster CBS to launch a slot based on the popular 1990s teen drama Beverly Hills 90201, and MGM Interactive for a slot based on the Vietnam War film Platoon.

“iSoftBet’s branded games collection has grown immensely over the past 12 months, and with the addition of such a well-loved and reputable title as 24 our portfolio is stronger than ever,” iSoftBet sales manager Luci Apostolou commented. “The TV series 24 and agent Bauer are hugely popular all over the world, and we are sure our customers will be blown away by the innovative content and features of this thrilling new slot.”

24 garnered critical acclaim, winning numerous awards over its eight seasons. Twentieth Century Fox announced last May that 24 would return as a 12-episode series titled '24: Live Another Day' which will debut in May of this year.
