Lottery and gaming systems provider Intralot has expanded its iGaming portfolio with the launch of its mobile and tablet sports betting product SportsMobile in Italy.

SportsMobile has been developed using HTML5 technology to offer a feature-rich sports betting experience, featuring pre-match and live betting. The product is fully integrated with Intralot Interactive’s online gaming platform to ensure cross-channel compatibility as part of the group’s commitment to offering its products across all platforms.

Intralot chief product and services officer George Zenzefilis described SportsMobile as part of a series of innovative mobile-first products that capitalise on the company’s global sports betting footprint and leverage the latest technological developments.

“The SportsMobile roadmap for the next few months includes further attractive patent pending propositions that we believe will redefine the mobile punters’ experience and we are confident for its success in not only Italy but also our global operations,” Zenzefilis added.

Emilio Iaia, chief executive of Intralot Italia, said the SportsMobile launch was a “key pillar” in the company’s strategy to grow its iGaming business in the Italian market. “Moreover, we are really proud of our new sports betting offering,” Iaia added. “We are confident of the success of our product in Italy, based on the attractiveness and continuous enhancement of our product to the benefit of our players.”
