Seven arrested in latest match-fixing allegations to rock Italian football

Italian authorities have arrested seven people, including the president of Serie B football club Catania, over allegations of match-fixing in the 2014-15 football season.

Four of the men have ties with the Sicilian club, which was relegated from Serie A in the 2013-14 season, including president Antonio Pulvirenti, vice president Pablo Consentino and former sporting director Daniele Delli Carri.

Two of the others were football agents, while the final two were managers of unnamed online betting sites.
