London-based slot games developer The Games Company has launched two exclusive World Cup-themed titles for Betfair through its partnership with game development platform provider Odobo.
The games, Football Crazy and Road to Rio, are the second and third games to be launched on the Odobo Marketplace by The Games Company, with the games linked to the Arcade tab on Betfair’s site.
The Games Company’s titles are currently available only through the Odobo platform but will also be rolled out via Leander Games’ Remote Games Server (RGS) and Playtech subsidiary GTS.
The supplier’s managing director Hans Winkelmann explained that his company had decide to work with Odobo as one of the best option for bringing its titles to market.
“Odobo have a great platform, excellent technology and the team have proven that they can deliver against a very tight deadline,” Winkelmann said. “Together we can deliver a high quality desktop experience on to all players’ mobile devices.”
Odobo’s chief business affairs officer Julian Jarvis added that it had been a pleasure to work with The Games Company.
“The World Cup is another great opportunity to prove our technology and speed to market,” he added.
The Games Company was founded last year by bwin.party’s former games studio team, Hans Winkelmann and Ian Matthews. The pair are vastly experienced games developers, having produced over 50 slots for PartyCasino and bwin, including Kung Food, The Circus and Sin City.
The company closed a private funding round last year, with the product line and team expanded with the funds. It is also working with a number of partners to launch a selection of mobile and desktop games over the coming months.
