bwin.party digital entertainment has updated its PartyPoker mobile offering as part of a series of updates and improvements designed to give players the best possible poker experience.

The operator has added Sit & Go tournaments to its iOS and Android apps for the first time, claiming that the updated app allows for seamless device transition for enhanced gameplay, with players able to start playing on desktop and move to their mobile devices. It also lets users filter tables by stake, speed and format, with quick-play options also available.

Due to the shared liquidity with desktop clients, players can now access the full range of Sit & Go, cash games and rapid-fold FastForward tablets. A number of Sit & Go games are now available including standard, double-or-nothing and coinflip tournaments.

Free-play and real-money variants of all games are available, while users will also have access to casino games.

The game has been launched as part of a company-wide drive to improve the availability and user experience across all PartyPoker’s games.

PartyPoker spokesperson Kara Scott said that the early days of mobile apps and games made it seem very unlikely that high-quality poker apps would ever be more than a “pipe dream.”

“With this extensive new offering including Sit & Go tournaments, PartyPoker is making a clear statement that this is the future of online poker,” Scott explained. “Ease of access, speed and freedom is absolutely key.”

She said that the launch was “just the first step” and that the operator would continue to improve and grow the product.

“We want customers to be able to play their favourite games at a time to suit them, whether it be just for fun or for real money,” she said.
