Sweden's Data Protection Authority Datainspektionen has criticised state-owned gaming operator Svenska Spel over its handling of sensitive personal data gathered through its responsible gambling tool Playscan.
The authority decided to review the operator to check that it had legal authority to handle customers’ personal information for the purposes indicated in a compulsory registration form which it introduced for new customers.
