Sports broadcaster and data provider SIS has launched a new bingo product for independent betting shops via its Virtual Betting Channel.
Customers of the Virtual Betting Channel, a joint development between SIS and Inspired Gaming Group, will be able to offer virtual bingo in their licensed betting shops, with the games initially running nine times per day.
The game consists of 35 balls being drawn randomly from a total of 49 numbers, with players needing to match six balls to win a cash prize.
SIS Betting's major account manager Nigel Boardman explained that the launch of virtual bingo was in response to consumer demand.
"We’ve had a lot of customers asking for it. We’ve canvassed others at our forums and the feedback has been very positive," said Boardman. "We’re hopeful it will be a big success."
Bingo becomes the ninth game to be shown on the Virtual Betting Channel, alongside horse and greyhound racing, speedway, cycling, Indy car, football and Mini Spin and Lotto games.
"The Virtual Betting Channel is an affordable way for independents to add virtual content to their existing SIS subscription," added Boardman. "The channel has more than 220 events per day seven days a week and the product becomes ever more valuable when adverse weather disrupts racing and greyhound schedules."
