Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operators have suffered another blow after the game was declared a form of illegal gambling in a detailed opinion issued by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
In response to a query by Representative Myra Crownover, chair of the state's Committee on Public Health, on the legality of daily and traditional fantasy sports, Paxton said that paid DFS contests were illegal under state law.
