bwin, the sports betting brand of bwin.party digital entertainment, has launched an update to its mobile betting offering, featuring a gesture-based controls and an “industry-first” blackjack mini-game.

Available for both iOS and Android devices, the operator says the app is the first sports betting product to have been designed around users’ fingertips, featuring an intuitive interface that uses gesture-based controls. Dynamic navigation will also allow players to quickly access a wide range of sports and odds to facilitate betting on the go.

The game also features Slider Blackjack, a new mini-game that allows players to swipe between placing a bet and playing hands of blackjack, with a live scoreboard also allowing users to keep track of their bets while playing.

The operator has also looked to offer a data-rich experience to customers with a range of statistical content such as head-to-head data, performance records, player statistics and league tables as well as live video feeds available.

“We are very excited about the launch of the new bwin sports app,” bwin director of sports labels Sam Sadi commented. “Our customers demand the very best betting experience from us and with this update that is exactly what we are delivering."

“But more than that, the app’s dynamic navigation, clean design and ground breaking features such as Slider Blackjack, mean that bwin is once more at the leading edge of mobile development,” Sadi added.

The app has been rolled out in a number of markets following a successful trial launch in Spain earlier this year. It is now available through the operator’s dot.com site as well for its French, Italian and Belgian offerings, and will go live in other markets over the coming months.
