Sweden’s NYX Gaming Group has launched Sit & Go tournaments for mobile and tablet devices following its acquisition of the Ongame poker network from Amaya Gaming Group.

The tournaments are described by the supplier as one of the best-performing mobile products in the iGaming industry, with the launch designed to strengthen the NYX poker offering which already features cash games and a fast-fold version.

Tournaments tap into Ongame's regular network liquidity and are available in dot.com, Danish, Belgian, UK and Italian markets, and are going live with operators such as PAF, PokerHeaven, Best Poker and Interpoker.

“Having the ability to launch Sit & Go tournaments via our mobile and tablet poker products is an essential part of any poker offering,” NYX executive vice president of business development David Flynn said. “Both customer and player feedback has been great and we are looking forward to building on this latest release with new features and functionality.”

“We are encouraged with the uptake and popularity of this game format as we continue to drive innovative features in the NYX Poker product,” Flynn added.

Amaya agreed to sell Ongame to NYX in November for a price equivalent to eight times the network’s 2015 EBITDA, minus any working capital requirement. Since then, NYX has announced plans to launch an initial public offering in Toronto in 2015.
