Online poker giant PokerStars has launched a branded live poker room at City of Dreams Manila, the new Philippines-based integrated casino resort that officially opened its doors last month.

PokerStars LIVE Manila is the second PokerStars live poker room currently operating in Asia, following Macau’s City of Dreams resort.

The poker room made its debut following a ‘soft opening’ of the casino resort on December 14th and is now officially open to the general public, offering a range of tournaments and cash games.

“Our relationship with City of Dreams has been nothing short of amazing in our poker room in Macau,” said Danny McDonagh, PokerStars’ director of Live Operations for Asia-Pacific. “I have the utmost confidence that our continued collaboration in Manila will take poker in the Philippines to new heights.”

The PokerStars-branded room is located on Level 2 of the casino floor, and features 14 permanent tables, which will also be expandable for special events such as the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Manila Poker Festival.

The casino resort was developed by Melco Crown (Philippines) Resorts Corporation, a subsidiary of Melco Crown Entertainment, and features three distinctive entertainment venues, including Manila’s first branded Family Entertainment Center, a live performance central lounge inside the casino, and a night club situated at the Fortune Egg. It includes the 260-room Crown Towers hotel, and the 321-room Nobu Hotel Manila.
