Canada’s British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has extended its partnership with OpenBet, rolling out the supplier’s OpenBet Promote betting content display solution as it looks to drive traffic to its online gaming site

The Promote system has been integrated into a 12-screen display at the March Eatery & Public House at the Starlight Casino in New Westminster, designed to help the operator better promote its online offering to the casino’s customers.

The display was launched for the venue, which is operated by Gateway Casinos, in order to create as high-quality a sports bar experience as possible. OpenBet’s Promote Studio centrally manages the live video feeds, TV, audio, data feeds, HTML, RSS and social media to broadcast sporting events live, with real time odds pricing and content changes.

“Our latest deployment of Promote, with BCLC at the Starlight property, means customers can now experience the most dynamic sportsbook experience delivered on one of the largest video walls installed within British Columbia,” OpenBet chief executive Jeremy Thompson-Hill commented.

“It demonstrates OpenBet’s commitment to a true omni-channel gaming experience that today’s player demands, and which delivers optimum value to operators,” he explained.

BCLC’s vice president responsible for iGaming Rhonda Garvey described Promote as a “brand new and innovative way to engage our players in an interactive and fun atmosphere where they can enjoy all the amenities of a sports lounge, along with the excitement of live sports action betting.”

“Offering sportsbook in the casino gives our players a best in class gaming experience,” she added.

The launch further strengthens the partnership between the two companies, with the OpenBet-powered PlayNow sportsbook launching in 2012, with more than 500 betting options including in-play, future and props bets. Irish bookmaker Paddy Power provided odds services on the supplier's platform.
