Malta-licensed casino operator Apollo Entertainment has had an advertising campaign banned by the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for the third time after its latest email promotion was deemed misleading by the watchdog.

Two emails drew complaints, with the first stating that players had won £2,000 “free” on Players Palace Casino, and the second informing recipients that they could receive £700 “free” on UK Casino Club, both via Apollo Entertainment’s Casino Rewards subsidiary. Text at the bottom of each email stated that the cash was for new players only, and that “terms and conditions may apply.”

The complainants said that the emails were misleading, as the claim could not be substantiated.
