Lottery and gaming solutions giant Scientific Games has launched a range of real-money and free-to-play Monopoly-branded content following last year’s rights agreement with Hasbro, owner of the popular board game brand.

That deal saw Scientific Games become the exclusive digital distributor of Monopoly-branded real-money content outside of the North American market, with the supplier now rolling out the Monopoly Big Event slot game via its Remote Game Server.

Developed by its Barcrest game development studio, Monopoly Big Event is an HTML5 variant of a similar land-based game, and has gone live across web and mobile devices.

The supplier has also finalised a deal to bring Monopoly-branded content to its Jackpot Party Social Casino app on Facebook, iOS, Android and Kindle devices.

As a result Scientific Games has launched a free-to-play variant of the real-money game Super Monopoly Money Cool Nights, one of the first games branded with a Hasbro property to launch in the 2015 calendar year. Future launches are planned for multi-channel availability on web, smartphones, and tablet devices.

The agreement with Hasbro was due to end in 2017, but has now been expanded until 2020, with the option for an additional three-year extension.

“With nearly two decades of MONOPOLY brand casino game development and more than 65 unique titles in our library, we couldn’t be more excited about the launch of our authentic MONOPOLY brand games for social casino and online wagering players,” Scientific Games president of interactive Jordan Levin said.

“The addition of this and other top-tier brands from the Hasbro library to our Interactive business and distribution platforms is a marquee milestone in our journey to provide the world’s most compelling online casino entertainment."
