Inspired has launched a new Matchday format for its Rush Football 2 virtual sports title, designed to drive revenue by offering players a betting experience similar to real-life matches and offering non-stop coverage of football games.

The new format is the first major update to Rush Football 2, which was launched in February this year, and allows operators to run up to 8 matches concurrently, with a new game starting every 3 minutes.

It gives players the opportunity to bet on a single match or create multiple match accumulators and bet on finishing league positions every matchday.

It offers over 25 markets on every match, including match betting, total goals, double chance, correct scores and handicaps among others. The accumulator bet opportunities, as well as in-play betting, will allow Rush Football 2 Matchday to tap into the multiples betting experience that players can access in real-world events worldwide.

Veteran commentator Ian Darke, who works for BT Sport and ESPN, provides commentary on the matches, which are presented in full high definition. The models and animations have been developed using film-quality motion capture techniques combined with a BAFTA award-winning team of UK-based animators.

“Inspired is renowned for setting the standard in virtual sports. Our products are recognised as being the most realistic, entertaining and highest revenue driving in the industry,” Inspired senior vice president of virtuals Steve Rogers said. “With the launch of our new Matchday format we are raising the bar again. This new format is a result of significant investment and the initial feedback has been phenomenal.”

Rush Football 2 Matchday is available across retail, online and mobile platforms, initially in English and Italian, with more languages coming soon.
