Sports betting solutions provider Betgenius has launched what it describes as the gambling industry’s first comprehensive pre-match and in-play sports betting product for professional gaming tournaments, eSports.
Betgenius has designed the solution to allow betting operators to fully automate their pre-match betting and offer hundreds of markets on thousands of live events each year, covering leading games such as League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Heroes of the Storm.
The company says that its pricing models have been developed to offer clients the most accurate eSports odds, ensuring industry-beating margins across pre-match and in-play markets.
The eSports solution incorporates live scoreboards and other engagement tools that can be accessed across desktop, tablet and mobile, together with marketing software that allows operators to target specific customer groups.
“This is a real first in our industry and I am thrilled that we can now offer such an exclusive product to our customers,” Betgenius chief executive Mark Locke said.
“Over 30 per cent of current eSports fans have engaged with some form of betting online – this represents an excellent opportunity for the market,” Locke continued.
“On recognising this, we began building a sophisticated product line that not only offers pre-match odds across all major competitions but also a full live betting offering, which is generated through our specialist software capability.”
The supplier says it is looking to tap into a potentially huge betting market, with eSports boasting a fan base of around 90m people worldwide, making it a huge recruitment opportunity from a key demographic.
While it claims to be the first to offer such a B2B solution, Betgenius joins number of other companies active in the space, such as Unikrn, which partnered Tabcorp’s Luxbet to launch a real-money product. The likes of Pinnacle Sports and even major operators such as William Hill and Paddy Power already offer odds on eSports tournaments.
