Swedish casino games developer NetEnt unveiled its latest slot Koi Princess at a lavish presentation in Gibraltar last night, the supplier’s first omni-channel game launch.

Developed in collaboration with William Hill, and due to be rolled out next week to all of NetEnt's UK operator partners, the new Japanese themed slot Koi Princess is a manga-style 5-reel, 3 row video slot with 20 lines.

It is NetEnt’s most feature-rich game to date. Players can trigger up to 7 different bonus/free rounds, including a Bonus Bet feature, 4 random features and 4 bonus features such as Sure Win Free Spins.

Whilst of Chinese origin, the legend of the koi fish which was turned into a golden dragon is known all over Asia. In NetEnt's game, the Koi Princess, whose name is Myoko, comes in the graphic style of a Japanese Anime/manga character.

The Medium Winning symbols are all lucky charms across Asia - the 3 lucky coins; the 3-legged frog (Money-Toad); the Fu-Lion - while the Low Winning symbols are the Royals.

The supplier said that it had the UK market in mind when it built this game, reminiscent of a multi-bonus machine.

The maths model is different to its other games. Usually 70 per cent of the return to player (RTP) comes from the base game. In this game, it is only 35 per cent, with 65 per cent coming from the bonus stages.

The game is set for official release to UK operators on Tuesday November 24th across desktop, mobile and retail via William Hill only.

Hosting the launch in Gibraltar for the first time, NetEnt revealed Koi Princess at an event Thursday on the luxury superyacht Sunborn Hotel.

The event was attended by all the supplier’s clients and some potential future clients in Gibraltar, including representatives from bwin.party, William Hill, Gala Coral, BetVictor, Ladbrokes, bet365, Mansion, Nektan, BGO, Lottoland and Rank, as well as other industry luminaries such as Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner Phill Brear.

Consisting of a champagne reception, Japanese buffet, DJ from nearby nightclub bar Dusk, Play Roulette Competition and a short presentation on the new game, NetEnt described the event as “a night to celebrate NetEnt and our new game and to welcome our valued customers of Gibraltar.”

“We are delighted to celebrate “Koi Princess” as our first game launch event to be hosted in Gibraltar,” said James Elliott, managing director of NetEnt Gibraltar, which was established two years ago. “This is a great step for NetEnt in our initiative to work closer with our Gibraltar licensed customers with a view to growing our business in the UK market.

"By collaboration with our long established UK facing partners, I believe that we together can provide an ultimate gaming experience to players, a key success factor when building profitable casino operations in the UK and other regulated markets."
