China's lottery market continues to experience strong growth, with sales in April improving by 9.6 per cent year-on-year.
Total lottery sales amounted to RMB38.245bn (€4.9bn) in April, marking the highest monthly sales volume so far this year, led by the strong performance of the Sports lottery.
Sports lottery sales in April reached RMB19.522bn, an increase of 15.2 per cent versus April 2016, while Welfare lottery sales climbed 4.3 per cent to RMB18.724bn.
