Toronto-listed gaming supplier NYX Gaming Group has completed the launch of new real-money web and mobile casino offerings for Golden Nugget in the regulated New Jersey iGaming market.

The launch sees NYX roll out its Open Platform System (OPS) for the operator, replacing Bally Technologies as Golden Nugget’s main platform provider.

It has also seen the supplier and its NextGen Gaming development subsidiary launch 19 new games on Golden Nugget’s online casino, including Gorilla Go Wild and Merlin’s Millions, via the NYX Open Gaming System (OGS). A further 30 games will be launched via the OGS over the coming months.

“We have worked hard to become the trusted partner in the New Jersey market for digital gaming,” NYX chief executive Matt Davey said. “Our OPS is one of the world's most flexible and open platforms in the gaming industry enabling our gaming operators the freedom to deliver best-of-breed experiences to their players.

“In today's competitive market, consumers of digital content demand unique and differentiated experiences and OPS is now the platform of choice for digital gaming in the US.”

NYX has recently been granted a transactional waiver by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) and has completed integration work to complete the launch. The deal further strengthens its presence in the state, where it has already launched with Caesars Interactive.

“It's a great position to be in for NYX. We have a significant proportion of the New Jersey market turning to our platform capabilities,” Davey continued. “We have our premium, market leading NextGen Gaming content in top positions across the majority of sites and we enable a diverse range of 3rd party developers like High5 and NetEnt to leverage our expanding distribution in the US market.”

"Through a proactive working relationship with the DGE and Golden Nugget's experienced iGaming team we have delivered an offering that brings a compelling entertainment experience within the rapidly emerging New Jersey gaming market,” he explained.

“This launch marks our first major project with NYX and both teams worked extremely well together,” Golden Nugget vice president of online gaming Thomas Winter said. “The AAA NYX team has gone beyond and above our high expectations across the board and we look forward to making the most of their world-class platform for New Jersey players to enjoy. With our brand new site and mobile applications, we are taking user experience to a whole new level.

“Three days after going live, we've already recorded new all-time highs in active players and revenues alike. We couldn't have hoped for a more enthusiastic welcome from our loyal online players, which is the best measurement of the success of this new partnership between NYX and Golden Nugget.

“We'd also like to thank Bally Technologies for their contribution to Golden Nugget early online success and for their professional commitment during the platform migration project,” he added.

Shares in NYX Gaming Group Inc (Co.Data) (TSX:NYX) closed down 10.65 per cent at CAD$2.35 per share in Toronto yesterday.
