Virtual sports and gaming machine specialist Inspired has struck a deal to roll out its virtual boxing products, featuring legendary boxer Mike Tyson, for independent bookmaker Betfred.

Inspired already serves as the operator’s exclusive supplier of video lottery terminals, technology and games, with Betfred first launching the supplier’s virtual sports content on desktop in 2001, before rolling out its mobile products in 2013.

Under the terms of the expanded deal, Inspired will provide Betfred with access to its first package of games featuring Tyson, including its Virtual Rush Boxing game across retail and online channels which is due to launch next year.

It will also supply the operator with its Tyson-branded omni-channel slots and table gaming content, supporting the roll-out with exclusive marketing materials.

Inspired struck the deal to feature Tyson in Rush Boxing in September this year, with the former undisputed World Heavyweight Champion appearing in the game after doing extensive motion capture work.

The game will also go live in SNAI in Italy, after Inspired’s strategic partnership with the operator was expanded to allow the roll-out of the new content.

“Tyson is to the boxing world what Inspired is to gaming – hard hitting, edgy, and unstoppable, resulting in exhilarating entertainment,” Inspired chief commercial officer Steve Rogers said. “Our new products are set to go down a storm with players across the gaming gambit and we are thrilled that Betfred will be the first UK operator to bring them to market.”

Betfred chief executive John Haddock added: “We are constantly on the lookout to be innovative and offer our customers products that are class leading. The Tyson branded products are just one of many new initiatives that we plan to launch in 2016.”
