Following the success of the partnership signed last year, Titanbet has agreed to continue its association with York Racecourse with a double race sponsorship on the May Spring Meeting card.

The partners have worked together since May last year, with the partnership to progress into the new season beginning with the May 21st race.

The day’s racing will get underway with the Stakes, a seven-furlong handicap offering £30,000 in prize money, which will be broadcast live on Racing UK.

The day’s most valuable race will be the £50,000 Spring Sprint, a five-furlong dash that will be screened as part of Channel 4’s racing coverage.

York Racecourse head of marketing and sponsorship James Brennan said he was delighted to have Titanbet as a key sponsor following its positive first campaign.

“I believe there is something special about York Races on a [summer] Saturday when a huge crowd is trying to solve a competitive handicap; so I'm delighted that Titanbet seem to agree; so have extended their support to just such races on just such a day,” he said.

“Their support helps us offer the prize money that makes them such exciting contests.”

The deal with the racecourse further strengthens Titanbet’s involvement in UK racing, with the operator sponsoring major races at Lingfield Park and Warick, as well as sponsoring a series of all-weather tracks in Dundalk.

“We are delighted to be on board with York Racecourse once again, one of Britain's iconic flat tracks,” Titanbet UK sports manager Russell Yershon said.

“Their first big Saturday meeting of the new season brings with it all the promise of summer, combining York's unique atmosphere with eager crowds and – we hope – sunshine.

“The Spring Sprint is sure to attract a competitive field and will offer the type of gripping action that our racing punters thrive upon,” he added. “Here's to another thrilling season on the Knavesmire in 2016.”
