Online broker UFX.com has named French World Cup winning footballer Emmanuel Petit as its new brand ambassador for France.

Petit scored the third goal in France’s 3-0 victory at the 1998 World Cup final to secure his place in French football history, and retired from competitive football in 2004.

The former Monaco, Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder was capped 63 times for the French national team and joins UFX.com ahead of the European Football championships, which kick off in Paris next month.

Dennis de Jong, Managing Director at UFX.com, commented: “We are excited to have a distinguished talent such as Emmanuel Petit joining the UFX family, and we look forward to the countless possibilities such a unique partnership affords us both.”

As part of an initial one-year deal, Petit will appear in UFX.com’s French ‘Trade with the Pros’ advertising and marketing campaigns.

Petit joins England rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall as UFX.com's second brand ambassador.

Commenting on his new role, Petit said: “Throughout my playing career, I always wanted to be a part of teams who chased greatness like Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and, of course, France. UFX.com shares that same vision and I look forward to helping the brand achieve their goals in France and beyond.”
