British bookmaker Coral and online sportsbook EnergyBet have both signed betting partnerships with Championship football clubs this week.
Coral has agreed a three-year deal until the end of the 2018/19 season with Derby County FC, while EnergyBet has partnered with Aston Villa FC.
As part its agreement, Coral will offer a full cash betting service at the iPro Stadium on match days, with branded betting stations located around the ground.
“Coral is one of the biggest betting and gaming brands in the country and we’re delighted to be entering into a partnership with them,” said Derby County’s president and chief executive Sam Rush. “We very much hope and believe that this will be the start of a long and successful relationship between both parties.”
Simon Clare, Coral’s public relations director, added: “Football betting is one of the fastest growing parts of our business and we are thrilled that we can partner with Derby County, a football club with such stature and heritage in the game.
“We look forward to introducing our exciting football betting service to Derby County’s fans, both at home and in the stadium over the next few years and wish the club the best of luck for the forthcoming season.”
Due to launch in the UK later this month, EnergyBet is a new online sportsbook offering from Malta-licensed EnergyCasino and the new partner of Aston Villa FC.
“We are delighted to add EnergyBet as our official betting partner for the UK and Europe,” said Aston Villa’s head of partnerships Peter Wright. “We look forward to working with EnergyBet as a new challenger brand, supporting them in their endeavour to make their mark in an exciting industry.”
As part of the betting partnership, EnergyBet is offering Villa fans a chance to win VIP match tickets and home shirts in the first of a season long Ultimate Villa Competition.
EnergyBet’s UK country manager Emilia Rynkowska said: “EnergyBet are excited to partner with a football club the size of Aston Villa.
“Villa are one of the most historic and successful clubs in England and it’s a pleasure to be associated with everyone at Villa Park. The club provide us with a great platform to promote our brand and we look forward to being part of their promotion push.”
The club will play this season in the second tier Championship following its relegation from the Premier League last season.
